Red Squirrel Conservation
Talk by West Cumbria Red Squirrel Initiative.
Join us to hear the latest on squirrel conservation in the local area. West Cumbria Red Squirrel Initiative are a team of volunteers who are actively controlling the spread of grey squirrels in the West Cumbria area. The group is one of 16 who are working with one common goal: Save our red squirrels!

Curlew Conservation - Melbreak Wildlife Group
Many people love to hear the sound of curlews in our valley in the summer months, but if we don’t look after our curlews now, we may lose them from the Melbreak area in the not-too-distant future. Come along to discuss what steps we can take locally to support our curlews in 2024 and beyond.

A fun filled evening of five fantastic wines presented by sommelier and hotelier Peter Jaques-Walker.
The event is an opportunity to explore some delicious wines of the world from the comfort of your own seat. Dark Skies Singing Workshop
Dave Camlin in conjunction with the Melbreak Communities presents a workshop to learn songs to perform in the evening in Whinlatter Forest for the Lake District Dark Skies festival.
Repertoire taught mainly by ear no need to be able to read music.
Tickets by donation - suggested amounts £3 - £15. Please pay what you can afford, and help us keep prices low for those facing financial hardship.
